About the Role :

We are building a cutting-edge data platform to help us simplify life’s most important payments. As an Analytics Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Analytics Engineering team, responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data solutions that support our group-wide self-serve data strategy. You will work closely with key stakeholders from across the organization to turn data into actionable insights that drive smarter decision-making. If you are passionate about creating automated solutions to complex business problems and generating impactful insights from data, this role is for you. We want you to bring your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to a collaborative environment where you’ll work alongside other domain experts to enhance our data processes and decision-making capabilities.

What You'll Do :

  • Design, develop, and maintain data models and ELT processes in a data mesh environment using dbt and Snowflake, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance while adhering to best practices, standards, and coding conventions
  • Collaborate with Insight Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into effective data solutions, identifying opportunities to improve decision-making across the organisation.
  • Implement and uphold data governance policies, including data quality, data lineage, and metadata management, to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data. CONTROLLED
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure the scalability, security, and availability of the overall Data Platform.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our data strategy by identifying and evaluating new technologies, tools, and techniques that can enhance our Analytics Engineering capabilities.


What You’ll Need :

  • A strong academic background in computer science, information systems, engineering, machine learning, or another quantitative field.
  • Relevant experience of 2 to 3 years.
  • Solid commercial experience with SQL and working with MPP/EPPs such as Snowflake and BigQuery, ideally with experience in data modelling using dbt in a data mesh environment.
  • Experience in developing data reporting and BI solutions with a focus on self-serve capabilities, along with the ability to shape requirements and work effectively to achieve impactful results.
  • A keen eye for detail and a reputation for maintaining high standards in your work.
  • A balance of commercial acumen and technical expertise, enabling you to navigate engineering discussions and contribute valuable insights in business meetings.
