Director of Engineering- B2B Products

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Engineering to lead our B2B vertical inside our payments company specializing in FX and international payments. This role is pivotal in driving the engineering efforts to deliver our B2B roadmap in partnership with the product team.
What you’ll do
- Lead a team of 35+ engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers to partner with the product team and deliver on our B2B roadmap.
- Oversee five teams, each with a manager/tech lead.
- Ensure robust and scalable software architecture, focusing on modern software practices, distributed systems, and cloud technologies (AWS).
- Maintain a customer-centric approach in all engineering efforts, ensuring solutions meet the needs of our global clientele.
- Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with Product, Data, DevOps, and QA teams.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years as a manager of managers.
- Strong background in modern software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud technologies (AWS) is mandatory.
- Experience leading product engineering teams, including B2B APIs. The team will work on modernising existing tools as well as taking others from 0 to 1
- Experience with Java is a plus.
- Experience in B2B and payments industries is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing large engineering teams.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

- Experience working in a B2B Payments start up or scale up
- Proptech experience also high desirable
