Senior Product Manager - Banking & Cards

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to develop and lead our global roadmap for banking and card products. This is a unique opportunity to own a suite of new products that will increase revenue share from existing customers whilst driving growth from new customer segments. We're just starting on the journey with our banking products (think named virtual accounts, new settlement methods, our multicurrency card, expanding currency flows, etc). This role is responsible for building and executing the strategy to scale our products into mainstream offerings globally.

What you'll do

  • Solve 'traditional' problems that customers face of having to open and manage multiple bank accounts as they move between geographies
  • You will own your space end-to-end, identifying market opportunities, defining the product vision, strategy and own the backlog for development.
  • Own the integration with banks/financial partners to launch new geographies or currency flows
  • Work with our payments and banking team, including supporting our Chief Banking Officer to liaise, negotiate and work with card issuers, card providers and regulators.
  • Develop banking product features (payment in, payments out, etc) to make Redpin the number one provider to manage money across borders
  • Build core features the enable us to capture high-value transactions (e.g. property payments)
  • Evolve the banking & card products with new features, new currency pairs and launching into new markets
  • You will apply your analytical mindset, technical knowhow, industry knowledge and UX approach to create the best possible experience on banking proposition
  • Own your space end-to-end, identifying market opportunities, defining the product vision, strategy and own the backlog for development

What you'll need

  • Experience of shipping successful, customer-centric digital products
  • Good grasp of banking & payment networks - e.g. key players, models & payment rails
  • Have a keen interest or experience in working with financial services products
  • You’re data driven, passionate about metrics, and intellectually objective about how product is performing and driven to continuously improve it
  • You have the ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of audiences
  • Comfortable with understanding regulatory requirements
  • Hands on, keen to learn and can deal with ambiguity as we explore new markets for growth

Bonus points

  • Ideally an engineering or technical background, essential to have an keen interest in technology
  • Experience of working with banks/financial partners and integrating services through APIs
  • Ownership of banking products (e.g. current accounts, savings or virtual accounts)
  • Good understanding of card programme managers, processors and payment rails
  • Knowledge of international payments and FX
  • Experience in managing user acceptance testing (UAT) of new features
